About Stephen Bowker

With more than 40 years devoted to the art of storytelling, Stephen Bowker is a published Australian author, screenwriter, and independent filmmaker based in Perth, Western Australia. Driven by imagination, persistence, and a belief that creativity holds no expiry date, he brings compelling narratives to life across both page and screen.

A lifelong passion for authentic narrative

Stephen's journey began over four decades ago, rooted in radio broadcasting as a breakfast presenter in Whyalla and evolving into writing novels and screenplays. For Stephen, every story naturally unfolds in the imagination like a film—complete with vivid dialogue, striking settings, and high-stakes drama. From crime mysteries set in remote Australian towns to science fiction and young adult adventures, his work celebrates courage, survival, and the resilient human spirit.
