By Stephen Bowker

Ten minutes to escape. Miles of unforgiving Australian bush. Three young lives hanging in the balance.

When Jenny Jones and her friend Karen are kidnapped by dangerous criminals, their lives are thrown into a terrifying fight for survival. As their families fear the worst and police launch a desperate search, the girls must find a way to escape before it's too late.

Their fortunes change when Jimmy Dolton discovers the girls and risks his own life to help them evade their captors.

But their ordeal is far from over.

In a chilling challenge, one of the kidnappers, Trevor, offers the children a deadly bargain. They have a ten-minute head start. If they can reach town, they live. If the criminals catch them, their fate is sealed.

What follows is a desperate journey through the Australian bush, where the three youngsters must use their courage, intelligence and friendship to stay ahead of their pursuers.

Along the way, they encounter colourful outback characters, unexpected dangers and the harsh realities of surviving in Australia's remote countryside.

Seeking shelter in a network of caves, the children hope to outwit their captors. But the criminals know the caves, turning their hiding place into a terrifying game of cat and mouse.

With time running out and the danger closing in, Jenny makes a desperate decision. Taking hold of her mother's revolver, she finds herself facing a situation no child should ever have to confront.

Suddenly, the deadly game becomes all too real.

Real Friends: The Kidnapping of Jenny and Karen is an Australian crime adventure combining suspense, friendship, courage and survival against the dramatic backdrop of the Australian outback.
